About David   

History
In 1997, David purchased a Spec Racer Ford, the yellow and red Computers Plus Number 83 and taught himself how to work on the car and perform race setups. His initial starts were quite good. In 1998, he posted six, top ten finishes, and in 1999, the number rose to nine, including a second place podium finish.

Years 2000 and 2001 proved more difficult. At times, it seemed David's Computers Plus SRF had a large target painted on its side. 

While David managed six top ten finishes in 2000, and nine top tens in 2001, there were also a fair number of DNFs.  
Including a particularly harrowing incident at Brainerd International Raceway...coming out of turn number 2 with his foot flat on floor, David noticed a deer standing alongside of the track. The deer chose that moment to dash across the track and straight into the path of David's car. While the crash was horrific, David was not injured. The deer was not so lucky.

At the track, David is well known for his sense of humor and willingness to assist other drivers-both mechanically and with racing tips. His recent success has come through hard work and dedication to the sport.

David owns Computers Plus, a computer retail and service business, in Bloomington, Minnesota. 
 

2006 - Statistics

Podium Finishes - One second place finish at the Shoot-Out National race at BlackHawk Farms Raceway. 

National Points - 30 points, 7th over all in the Central Division out of 72 racers.

2005 - Statistics

Podium Finishes - One second place finish at the Jellystone National race at Grattan. Three third place finishes at the Carl Mueller National (Blackhawk Farms), Kaw Valley Sprints (Heartland Park) and 1st Cendiv National (Gingerman). 

National Points - 42 points, 3rd over all in the Central Division out of 83 racers.

2004 - Statistics

Two Wins - David won both races at the Susie Bonneau Memorial Regional at Road America on June 26-27, 2004. 

One Pole - David earned a pole during the Saturday race at the Susie Bonneau Memorial Regional and had the fastest race lap during both races of the double regional event. 

Podium Finishes - One second place finish during the Fun in the Sun National at the Mid-America Motorplex.Three third places, Last Cook Out National (Grattan), Shout Out National (Blackhawk Farms) and the Heavenly Hazel Regional (Heartland Park). 

National Points - 40 points, 2nd over all in the Central Division out of 77 racers.

2003 - Statistics

Four Wins - David won both races at the South Bend Sprints Double Regional at Gingerman and the Rennen Double Regional at BlackHawk on June 7-8, 2003. 

Three Poles - David earned a pole during the Saturday race at the Kettle Moraine Double Regional at Road America. David earned two poles at the South Bend Sprints Double Regional at Gingerman and drove to two first place finishes. 

Podium Finishes - Two second place finishes during the races at the Kettle Moraine Double Regional at Road America.Third Place at the Good Times National at Grattan. 

National Points - David finished 8th in Central Division with 28 points and competed at the  2003 SCCA Run-Offs National Champioship race. 

2002 Statistics

Four Poles - Two at the Firecracker Double Regional at BlackHawk and Two at the South Bend Sprints Double Regional at Gingerman

Four Wins - One at the Knapp Regional at BlackHawk Farms, two at the Firecracker Double Regional at BlackHawk Farms and one at the South Bend Sprints Double Regional at Gingerman.

Podium Finishes - In addition to the four wins, David has finished second twice and third twice.

National Points - David finished 4th in Central Division with 38 points and competed at the  2002 SCCA Run-Offs National Championship race.
